Proceedings
After every "Magnetic Carrier Meeting", we publish peer reviewed articles in a special journal issue that contains the most-up-to date research in our area. The deadline for the submission of these full papers is June 18, 2012.

Paper Submission

Up to the 7th meeting, we published these full size articles in the Journal of Magnetism and Magnetic Materials. Please check them out here for 2009 or 2007. Note that you can still order a copy from these two years, but all older ones are sold out.

For the 9th meeting, we will publish the proceedings with the American Institute of Physics (AIP) in their Conference Proceeding Series. This AIP publication is well indexed and you can find your papers with search engines such as SciFinder.

Please click HERE to view the table of contents of the last and 8th meeting's AIP conference proceeding. Also, check out an example by Schmitt et al of a paper published in last year's proceedings; the same format will be used for this years publication.

We will be using AIP to publish our conference proceedings once again this year for the 9th meeting

Specific Details for Paper Submission:

-  There are no page limits for this journal, although we do recommend a 6-8 page size; but if you have lots of interesting results to report, go ahead!

-  Best of all, all your figures can be in colour!

-  Submission is all electronic on our website. Deadline is Monday, June 18, 2012, and papers will be sent out for peer review the following day. Please use the same password to login that you used for the abstract submission:

-  The format of our proceeding papers are described in detail in the following files:

  • Microsoft Word Template file: An excellent starting point; just follow all their formatting, including the method of referencing literature sources. The page size is 8"x11" (not A4), with a 1" (2.54 cm) border all around.
  • description by AIP how to best use the template file: It is actually quite handy if you follow their advice, as you then can use their macros to make preformatted figure legends, tables with 2 to 5 columns, and some reference formatting
  • There are also a copyright file and a permission file if you need to include figures that have already been published. However, you really only need these once our usual peer review process has been completed - we will let you know. And if you would like reprints of your paper, then you can apply for them at the end as well using this offprint form.
  • Please - additionally to AIP's formatting descriptions - add immediately after your complete postal address(es) the e-mail of the corresponding author(s). Being able to correspond with the authors is very important.
  • A concise and factual abstract is required with 150 words or less. The abstract should state briefly the purpose of the research, the principal results and major conclusions. An abstract is often presented separately from the article, so it must be able to stand alone. For this reason, references and abbreviations should be avoided.
  • Provide up to 6 keywords
