On 25 April 2008 University College London and the Royal Institution of Great Britain established a joint research programme in Healthcare Biomagnetics. The programme, which the institutions are supporting with a £3.7m investment, is led by Professor Quentin Pankhurst, formerly the Deputy Director of the London Centre for Nanotechnology. As part of the new programme, applications are invited for a new position:
UCL-RI Fellowship (Non-clinical): This post is open to all candidates with demonstrable experience in the healthcare biomagnetics field, and able to present their own viable plan of research. Evidence of an aptitude to generate independent research funding is desirable, as is an alignment between the research aspirations of the candidate and those of the existing researchers at the Royal Institution. Dependent on the successful candidate’s skills, the position will be affiliated with an appropriate department at UCL. The post is available for up to 24 months, with a starting date as soon as possible after appointment. The starting salary will be in the range £30,939 to £31,787 per annum inclusive of London Allowance.
