R&D Scientist, Particle Synthesis at STEMCELL Technologies Inc

STEMCELL Technologies Inc., located in beautiful Vancouver, Canada, is a leading supplier of specialized products for life science research. We have an immediate opening in our Research & Development Department for Scientist in Particle Synthesis.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop particles for the detection and separation of cells.
  • Provide technical support for new and existing particle products.
  • Identify new particles for use in products based on advances in the fields of particle chemistry and magnetic materials.
  • Establish and manage external collaborations.
  • Manage research project timelines and budget.

Qualifications:

  • PhD in particle chemistry
  • Preferably > 2 years working in industry developing particles.
  • Accomplished independent researcher with product/technique development experience.
  • Competent in complex experimental design and has a history of innovation.
  • Extensive knowledge of surface chemistry, biomaterials and particle chemistry.
  • Knowledge of the biological sciences would be an asset.
  • Supervisory experience.
  • Has established successful external collaborations.
